Hello,

It's today the 11th of May, and tomorrow is it mother's day. That's a special day! I wish my mom a happy mother's day! Today I went to eleanor her house, Blandine and Stella came too. In the morning we went canoeing on the lake. But the weather wasn't that great, there was a lot of fog. It looked like on a film set. In the afternoon Blandine and me did something crazy. Tomorrow I will let you know what we did, and will show you the pictures.
We had a great time!

It's today the 9th of May! Last blog message I said I was going to post a recipe and more photos.
Sometimes I have no sense of time, can not believe it's been ten days later.
May 2, 3 and 4 I went to drama festival. It was an amazing experience, three full days of drama.
We were with 13 students of Halifax West High School. And 22 other schools were involved too.
Around 200 people were involved. In the morning we had a master class, that was with everybody together. Except the third day, then we watched a show "Title of Show".
The first master class was improv. There was an improv team (Canadian Improv Games) that taught us the skills about improve.
The second master class was comedy. A famous comedian, forgot his name. And he taught us the skills of comedy.
In the afternoon, we had the course that we chose. I was in three day acting, my group was about 18 people. The other courses were stage combat, play writing, musical, stage lightening,......
Each class was teached by profesional people. Our teacher was Martha Irving. If you search on the internet you will find a lot of stuff about her. Acting is her job, she is doing this 36 years.
It was great to work with her, and made it clear again, that I enjoy acting. That was an other great experience!

The week before drama festival, suddenly had a lot of pain in my mouth. My tonsil on the right side was swollen. but the pain got worse, and realized that it was my wisdom tooth. We decided to go to the dentist. They took a picture, and they saw that my wisdom teeth is against my jawbone. Between my wisdom teeth and jawbone is an infection. They prescribed the medication, and the medication will take the pain away. It feels much better now.
In connection with this something funny happened today. I went down town to my Circus School. Before that I went in a shop, saw a basket of buttons with nice pictures and text. One had the text wisdom teeth on it, so I bought it. This button will always make me think back to my wisdom tooth. I will show you a picture of this button.

It's today the 30th of April, in four days I'm here 8th months.
Sunday the 21 of April, I went fishing with Eleanor in the lake by her house. It was a beautiful evening, and we fished until sunset. We didn't catched anything but now we are prepared for the next time.
A couple weeks ago I bought an aquarelle book.
I have not done much but I'll show you the ones that were finished. It's a begin.
After such a long winter, the longest winter that I ever had. The spring is coming, signs of life.
Flowers begin to grow, birds are back, saw today the first wasp. A couple days ago, when we walked to the bus stop. We saw a coyote crossing the street. On one of my blog messages I told you about the two coyotes that were walking around here. And now I saw one!
That was something special.

Sunday the 28 of April, I went on a day trip with my host family to the valley (Windsor, Wolfville, Kentville, and discovering new places). It was a sunny day, a good day to take pictures.
We saw a lot of animals like sheeps, horses, lama's, an eagle and his nest,...
While we were driving, we drove by a cemetery. The cemeteries are very different here. They are not fenced, and they are placed randomly. But some cemeteries have the same setup. I hope the pictures will give a better idea how the day looked like.

It's today the 22nd of April! Before I gonna realize, my adventure will be over :(. But I will be happy to see everyone back. I am enjoying everyday! This adventure is amazing!

It's been a while ago that I have posted something. Friday evening I went to the school Musical "Anything Goes".
They played it four time's Thursday, Friday and Saterday two times. It was amazing, The level was so high. It was like a professional production. There was a lot of people involved, I helped out with the set painting. I will tell you about the synopsis.
Billy Crocker, a young Wall Street broker, has fallen in love with heiress Hope Harcourt. His boss, Elisha J. Whitney, is preparing to travel to London aboard the S.S. "American" and Billy's friend Reno Sweeney will be traveling on the same ship. Billy goes to the dock to say "Bon Voyage". But gets accidentally on the ship. And then a lot of adventure begins!

Today we had an activity with the International student program. We went to Peggy's Cove, a little museum of Peggy's Cove and to a place where they catch lobsters.
It was perfect weather for this trip, sunny with a blue sky!

It's today the 14th of April, time flies. Wednesday at our school there was a big event. The biggest event of the year. Head for the cure was the slogan. You could get a haircut to donate your hair, for every inch people gave money. The amount they have collected they will let us know tomorrow at school.

It took place in our gym.

Friday evening after we finished the movie I went to bed. The wind was blowing, and when I looked outside I saw that it was snowing. I couldn't believe it. In the middle of april it's still snowing. Yesterday I went with my friend Erin to a water color course. It took place at our church.
It was really interesting. The artist was James Ray. The whole time he called me the Belgium girl.
We created step by step a forest. One day I will show you the result.

It is tomorrow the start of a new school week.

Hello,

It's today the 6th of April. Two days ago I've been here seven months. I can't realize it!
For Easter we got some chocolate, the chocolate was delicious because it was Belgium chocolate.
The chocolate is already gone in our belly, that is to bad!

My host sister had to do a project about a person from an other country. Her country was Iran.
It's like a journal. When her project was finished I helped her with colouring the pages.
We took a picture when it was finished.

A couple days ago, we went in a shop to do some shopping. In every country you'll find some chocolate that came from Belgium. But for the first time I saw tomatoes that came from Belgium.
They looked good until we picked them up. The tomatoes fell apart. It's still funny.

The 2nd, 3th and 4th of April, I was involved in a Digital Bootcamp. When you hear the word bootcamp you think directly about adventure, woods, no toilet,....
That was it absolutely not. It took place at the Centre of Art and Technology (CAT, the college) down town. We had the opportunity to follow the course that interested you. I was in Graphic Design.
Some other courses where fashion, film making, animation, event management,.......
The project that we made was a poster for a horror movie, with our own picture in it.
It was great because we could use the material (computer, camera's,.......).
The days from the bootcamp the actually students had vacation that week.
That's a good way to know the school better.
