Hello,

Today we are 13th of June. The third of June was the last activity of the International Student program of Nova Scotia. It took place at Mic Mac Canoe Club. From 5 pm until 8.30 pm.
There were Dragon boats. These are very long boats, and you can canoe with a lot of people together. Out of teak wood to various designs and sizes. After that we came inside to have a nice dinner together.
Every student got a certificate of Enrollment. They took a picture from all the international students from every school. Then there were awards in all categories, I also got an award. That was a great honor, did not expect. Thank you to the people that nominated me. You will see a picture of the award under my blog message.
You will see also some pictures from my trip with my parents, and tomorrow I will write about the trip.

Greetings,
Zoë

Hello,

It's today the 10th of June, last friday my parents arrived. After more than 9 months I saw them back.
Happy to see them! All the emotions came above! It felt unreal. My parents had a warm welcome from Blandine, Giulia, Lander, Eleanor, Allyson and Afi. They filmed the moment. Today my parents picked me up at school, and we are making a trip to Cape Breton. We are staying over night in Wolfville. Tomorrow we will do a day trip to Digby. After the day trip we will come back to Wolfville.
I will show you some pictures.
Tomorrow I will talk about the last activity we had with the International Student Program, and I let you know how our day trip went.

Greetings Zoë

Hello,

Today it was the 6th of June, it's already the 7th of June. Today is a special day, and I still can't realize.
My parents are arriving in the late afternoon. After almost ten months I gonna be happy to see them back. Skype is great but to see people back in the front of you, and be able to give them a hug will be a great feeling. My parents are now on their way to the airport. I wish them a good flight!

The 28th of May we had an activity with the International Student Program. We went to Shubenacadie wild life park. The weather was great to walk around. The parks are so different then in Belgium. Our group and some other people were there. Totally not busy. We had a question sheet to fill out. One of the questions was taking pictures of certain animals. Now I will show you some pictures.

About two weeks ago I went with Erin golfing. But glowing in the dark golfing. It is with black lights and they painted inside with fluorescent paint. The effect that this makes is really cool. And makes it harder to get the golf ball in the hole. I will post some pictures.

Greetings Zoë

Hello,

It is today the first of June. Time flies, I will say this phrase a hundred times :). Today is also the day that the last month of my adventure starts, July 1 I arrive in Belgium. June will be a very nice month, I will enjoy each day even more than I already did ;)!
Tomorrow is the second of June, my dad his birthday. Happy birthday dad!!!

Eleanor from Australia her host dad coaches the olympic team of wheel chair basketball. And sometimes he organizes activities for anyone who wants to try. I went two times, it's harder than you might think. Two times you go with the ball on your lap and then you dribble twice. In the begin my multitask wasn't that good. I pounded against the wall, but the second time it was better.

We had a really long winter, the last snow fell in April. The winter is so long here that they don't have spring. It was immediately summer. Today when I woke up it was already 22°C. And during the day it went up to 28°C. I'm not used to the hot weather, but I certainly enjoyed. I even slept with the windows open.

I ate a Canadian lobster today. It was a nice experience. We went to a friend from my host parents. He worked with his father on a boat, and he knows very well how to get it apart.
I will show pictures, so you will get a better idea how they eat lobster in Nova Scotia.

Tomorrow I will post an other recipe on my blog!
Greetings Zoë

This position is to put them asleep, they are quiet in that position.

They just came out of the pot.

The tablecloth is very original.

It is for everybody a new experience also for the dog.

Hello,

It is today the 23 of May. The 13th and 14th of May I went to a leadership conference in Antigonish. This leadership conference is learning about the universities in Nova Scotia. And learn about, how it is to be an international student at the university. We stayed at the university from St. Francis Xavier University. Recognized as one of the finest schools in Canada.
The X-Ring is something special at that school.
They get this ring after they graduating. The X-Ring is said to be, after Super Bowl and Papal rings, the third most recognized ring in the world. It's a permanent reminder of the StFX experience and its lasting solidarity. That's a little bit information about the university.
At the leadership conference, we were with 52 international students. We listened to presentations, played games, meeting new people,....
We slept at the residence from the school. You live like a student at the university for two days.
It was an other great experience.

The 18th of May I watched with Blandine, Stella, Giulia, Eleanor, Jenna and Olivia Eurovision. We connected the laptop into the TV and watched it on the big screen. It was nice to watch with it people from different countries.

Today at 7pm there was a coffee house at the school. Students from the school are performing and presenting things. Like songs, poetry,...
If you wish to participate, you can sign up. My friend Blandine from France performed. She sang the song "Little Talks" from Monsters and Men. We filmed it, it probably will come on Facebook. She did a great job!

Now I will show you some pictures that I took.

Greetings Zoë
