The hockey game was the 24th of february, the date of the art event was in my head.

Today is the 5th of february. Yesterday it was the 4 of february, I've been here six months!
On my last blog message I told you that I gonna show you the pictures from the hockey game where I went to. That was an activity from the International Student Program. It took place the 26th and 27th of February. It was the Halifax Mooseheads against the Titans. The Halifax Mooseheads are a really famous hockey team here in Nova Scotia. They won with 11 points. And the titans had only 3 points.
Hockey is here really popular and in Europe is mostly soccer really popular.

Yesterday we had a lock down at our school. It's not the same like a fire drill. A lock down is if someone the school enters with a knife or a gun. Then we lock all the doors and try to stay in a spot so that nobody sees us. Maybe one time I talked about this from the outside of the classroom you can't open the door. They changed the doors after this kind of incident happened. A guy ran three years ago into the school with a knife. That's when they realized that the school wasn't safe enough.
But now the whole school is safe with camera's, the new doors, security,.....



Today the 26th of february and tomorrow the 27th of february I'm on a art event. In Halifax down town. It takes place in University of King's College Halifax. It's the oldest university in the whole of Canada. This event is with different high school's. And from each high school 6 a 9 people are coming over those two days with there teacher. The subject is fantasy, imagination and innovation: the play of the creative mind. three speakers came today to talk about how they use the subjects in there work.The first one makes movies his name is Josh MacDonald. The second one is an archaeologist his name is Jonathan Fowler. The third person is a woman that crochet. An example she crocheted playgrounds. Her work is amazing. She works together with her husband Charles MacAdam.

On the internet you find information about those artist if you are interested. it was very interesting I've learned new English words that I never heard before.

Hello,
It's today the 23th of february. The 20th of february they celebrate at school Chinese New Year. During lunchtime they gave Lucky cookies. Inside the cookie is a little paper with a personal text on it.
Sometime it's true what they tell.
After school we (Giulia, Blandine, Ally and me) went to the library to do our homework. After that we went for dinner at a sushi restaurant. I think my sister will be jealous now because she loves sushi!
That is a good and light supper. That's what we needed because after our dinner went to the Canada Game Center. It's a big building with a lot of gym activities. Like swimming pool that's what we did first. Basketball, jogging track, ping pong,.....

On 7pm we came out the swimming pool and went to the gym. There are also sessions that you can try.
Wednesday we tried kik boxing. Normally the session is an hour but I stopped after 30 minutes. it was too intense. We had a really nice evening.

Today I went go karting with my friend Erin. It was a lot of fun. It wasn't easy because you need to think about different things. I won the race but we were only with two. So we had both good places.

Today it is the 18th of february. In the morning Giulia and me went to the bus stop, where the bus pick us up. We were the whole time waiting for the bus. But the school bus didn't showed up.We called a friend if she now what was happening. She told us that the school was cancelled, the weather was terrible to drive.
As you might already know we have a new puppy in the house, I'll show today a picture of her on my blog.
She is only eight weeks, really little.
Now we have Madelein, Murphy, Denby and the name of the new one is Flannery.

Today is the tenth of february. This weekend I experienced a snowstorm. Maybe you saw it in the newspaper. About the snowstorm Nemo that hits the US and Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia).
It was huge. Friday evening we went to the shop to buy food because we couldn't get out the house for two days. We did so much snow shovelling, because we need to free up a path.
It was a nice experience but also a little bit scary. I will show you some pictures.
